Cleaning Coalition of America Supports  Safe, Clean, and Healthy Workplaces for Federal Employees’ Full Return

Washington, D.C. – Federal workers will be required to return to the office full time after President Trump issued an Executive Order ending remote work on Monday, on the first day of his second presidential term. Today, the Cleaning Coalition of America (CCA) sent a letter to the White House and issued the following statement expressing strong support for measures to return to in-person work and outlining CCA efforts to support the safety and health of workers throughout this transition.

“The Cleaning Coalition of America commends President Trump’s day-one action to bring federal employees back to full time in-person work. Professional commercial cleaners stand ready to support in-person work transitions by ensuring that work environments are safe, clean, and healthy.

“The CCA represents the nation’s largest facility cleaning companies, employing more than one million people across the country. In addition to providing jobs, member companies serve an essential function in communities across the country by keeping businesses, schools, places of worship, public buildings and other organizations in operation. The cleaning industry has been at the forefront of implementing cutting-edge technologies, advanced sanitization practices, and sustainable solutions to create spaces where employees can thrive.

“CCA is committed to partnering with stakeholders to prioritize the health and safety of their workforce while maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness across workplaces nationwide.”

Background:

Founded in 2020 by the nation’s leading facilities services companies, the Cleaning Coalition of America advocates on behalf of professional cleaners nationwide to shape and advance balanced, common-sense policies and cleanliness standards that promote a safe and healthy workplace.

The CCA and its member companies have advocated for the benefits of in-person work since the increase of telework after the COVID-19 pandemic. The CCA has also supported return-to-work transitions in various ways, including by compiling a reopening guide for New York State businesses providing expertise on complying with and implementing health and safety protections.
